How to Quickly Check for a Sticking Slide !
Details
If your engine has a hanging idle, slow RPM return, or a sticking throttle slide, the first thing you should check is whether the slide itself is physically sticking or whether there is air leakage between the slide and the slide bore.
In this video, we demonstrate a quick free-fall test and a light leakage test to help diagnose these issues.
If the carburetor passes both tests, the problem is usually related to throttle cable routing, throttle assembly contamination, external air leaks, or excessive resistance in the throttle system.
We also explain why fully enclosed aluminum wrap-around handguards are not recommended for Hard Enduro applications.
